Last week WalkScore released their annual Top 10 Most Bikeable Cities index. Minneapolis claimed top honors this year, followed by Portland, Oregon and San Francisco. WalkScore not only released their nationally much-publicized top 10 list, but they have scored neighborhoods and cities throughout the U.S. To find your WalkScore visit their Most Bikeable Cities website – here.
Along with the release of the Bikeable Cities list, the Kiplinger Letter is making the case that two wheels are definitely cheaper than four wheels, by releasing their new “How Much I Save Biking to Work” calculator. Check out your savings by using the Kiplinger calculator - here.
All in all – these two new surveys and online tools do a good job making the case for a more sustainable transportation system through bicycling.
